Danny began dancing over 22 years ago in his native home of Brisbane (Australia). His early experience with Martial Arts and Musical training meant dancing felt quite natural to him. After his first few years social dancing, he attempted his first competition. Last in every dance… With this devastating result, it soon became clear dancing was going to be the biggest challenge of his life.
Within 3 years he became the State Champion in Open Ballroom and Latin. He made the final at the Nationals the same year. His International career began straight after this. The World’s biggest competition The British Open “Blackpool” was next. Danny placed 14th the first year and backed it up with 8th the following year (just 2 marks off the final). Unfortunately straight after this competition his partner of just 20 years of age was diagnosed with breast cancer. She decided to stop dancing and they parted ways and are still close friends.
Since then Danny has had numerous partners with fantastic results. He holds 7 State Titles; he is 3 times Undefeated Australasian Open Latin Champion and 3 times South Pacific Latin Champion in Amateur and Professional. He also holds the record for youngest partner in an International Adult Open Latin Final at 14 years old. (Placing 3rd). In 2000 Danny and his partner Kristina were featured dancers at the Sydney Olympic Games in front of 110,000 people. Danny then toured with the world wide dance sensation Broadway’s ‘Burn the Floor’ performing 108 shows in just 90 days. Then taught and performed all over the world aboard Cunard, P&O and Carnival Cruise Lines.
But actually, it’s as a teacher where Danny is most acclaimed. He is proud teacher of numerous Australian Champions and his students of 9 years were crowned World 10 Dance Champions.
After finding the love of his life here in Orange County, Danny and his wife Kayla are very excited about creating a dance studio that is kid friendly and turning America’s talent into results and stars of the future.
Like many little girls, Kayla began dancing for family in her living room, having three sisters to perform with; it was the perfect breeding environment for a dancer! She then started coordinating neighborhood talent shows and was in and out of ballet, jazz and hip hop studios from age six. When she was seven years old she was introduced to Ballroom dancing through her aunt. Diving into her first ballroom competition at age 8, she pulled out her very first wins from that moment on she was hooked and is now no stranger to the comp floor.
At 16, Kayla started teaching and managing dance studios throughout southern California. At age 18 she moved back to her home town in Arizona and took over running dance studios taking each to award winning competitions. Kayla is known for developing her students into dance champions. Specializing in hip hop and jazz, her students have won dance competitions across the nation bringing each studio she has worked for to national champion title holders. Her dedications to dance lead her to numerous championships in ballroom dancing, and hip hop.
Kayla’s' specialty lies in social dancing, her real passion is just showing how much fun dancing can be.
One of her favorites parts of being a dance teacher is choreography, especially show and performance routines. She prides herself in bringing out her students creativity and inner dancer!
Kayla was lucky enough to have found, the man of her dreams in Ballroom dancing and believes that dancing has truly made all her dreams come true. Now owning a studio she hopes to spread her love for dancing to anyone and everyone. She is also very passionate about giving children the same opportunity she was so luckily given to really be pushed and shown everything dancing can bring.
